In the same year a Yale School of Public Health study projected that full federalization of US healthcare would save $1.04 trillion and 114,000 lives annually, Congress passed a law cutting $911 billion from federal Medicaid spending, and Affordable Care Act subsidies expired, doubling premiums for 20 million people. Both directions are now on the record, in the same calendar year, from credible independent sources.
