UTEC is a venture capital firm founded in 2004 that manages six venture funds with approximately 130 billion yen in cumulative fundraising, primarily from institutional investors. The firm invests in science and technology-focused startups from seed stage onwards, partnering with Tokyo University and other domestic and international research institutions, and has invested in approximately 160 companies with 20 achieving public listing and 22 completing mergers or acquisitions.
